The two debutants of the Unity Cup, India and Zimbabwe, are all set to face off in the bronze medal match of Unity Cup 2026 at the Valley Stadium in South East London.

The first semi-finals saw three-time champions Nigeria making it to their fourth consecutive finals of the Unity Cup after a comfortable 2-0 win over their African opponents. It took Femi Azeez just five minutes to break the deadlock, and Nigeria went 1-0 up.

Zimbabwe kept pushing hard for the equaliser, but it was too late after the Millwall centre forward scored a brace to make it 2-0, and Nigeria made it to the finals, and Zimbabwe will fight India for the bronze medal.

In the second semi-finals, India also suffered a defeat to Jamaica, and in their Unity Cup debut, Khalid Jamil’s boys will be eager to atleast secure a podium finish against Zimbabwe.

History

The 2026 Unity Cup is the 4th edition of the Unity Cup, an international football tournament held in London, England. The tournament is scheduled to take place between 26 and 30 May, featuring the national teams of India, Jamaica, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. It will be held at The Valley in Charlton, south-east London. The stadium previously held the 2004 edition of the tournament.

Nigeria are the defending champions.
